JIDAデザインミュージアム1号館

わたしたちの大切なリンク組織であり、同じく「日本のプロダクト・デザイン」の収集保存、展示・普及に力を注いでいる日本インダストリアルデザイナー協会［JIDA］デザインミュージアムは、展示・活動施設「JIDAデザインミュージアム1号館」のリニューアルを完了しました。これを記念して、企画展「JIDAデザインミュージアムセレクションVol.9
―美しく豊かな生活をめざして」が始まります。
リニューアルは、施設が接する道路の拡幅に伴うもので、伝統的な「蔵」スタイルの建物の向きを90度回転させ、休館中に2階の展示スペースを改装しています。
企画展は、ecology［エコロジー］、universality［普遍性］、enjoyableness［愉しみ感］、confort［快適性］、healthiness［健全さ］、favorite［お気に入り］など、現代生活を象徴するキーワードに沿って厳選した、最新のプロダクト・デザイン約30点を紹介するもの。
すでに、東京［於AXISギャラリー］、大阪［於・豊能町テンバA］を巡回し、この秋まで、JIDAデザインミュージアムの本拠地である長野での開催となります。

The Japan Industrial Designers' Association
[JIDA] Design Museum is our important link
institution which is organized
by design professionals who have the ideal
as same as us, to endeavor for collection,
presentation and education of "Japanese
product design." Recently, renewal
work of their exhibition/activity
space JIDA Design Museum 1, Shinshushinmachi,
has been finished.
As the road facing the museum was widened,
the traditional "kura"
[Japanese storage] style building was turned
90 degrees from its original position while
the gallery on the second floor could be completely
refurnished during the temporary close.
The reopening is
celebrated with the start of a new show
"JIDA Design Museum Selection Vol.9
- Aiming at a Rich and Beautiful Life"
consists of some thirty objects that appeared
in the market in these few years. They
are carefully selected
by the JIDA Design Museum Committee on the
basis of keywords such as, ecology, universality,
enjoyableness, confort, healthiness, favorite
and etc., that symbolize our contemporary
life.
This exhibition has already toured in Tokyo
[AXIS Gallery, Tokyo] and Osaka [Temba A,
Toyonocho], and will be held until this autumn in
Nagano Prefecture, the home field of JIDA
Design Museum.

D&ML Web の「試運転」をお知らせした5月16日付けの「Website Construction News」では、
ウェブ･デザインの改良を今後の予定として挙げましたが、
ついに今週末をもってリニューアル工事が完了し、「新しいターミナル」のウェブサイトで「完全開業」する運びとなりました。
わたしたちのウェブサイトをご覧になっている皆さまへご迷惑をお掛けしないよう、アドレスを変えることなく、また旧デザインのサイトをクローズしないで保線を進めたため、工期が長引いたことをお詫びするとともに、これからも
D&ML Web をご高覧・ご利用いただきたく、お願い申し上げます。

As we informed in the "Website Construction News"
dated May 16th, the D&ML Web was on its trial
run at the same time dramatic improvement
of its design was explored.
Here, we would like to announce that the renewal
work is finished and our website has celebrated its
grand open in a "brand
new terminal" this weekend.
In fact, much time was required since we worked
on track maintenance with no change of our site address nor temporary
close of the
former site for the convenience of our fans and viewers.
We are happy to present our new website
dressed in fashionable bright pink which resembles
the unique editorial of the periodical magazine "Design
& Museum Link" Vol.001/No.001.
